Think about it, this isn't a show to find the best singer the country has, it's about getting ratings and making money. Would Simon Cowell, creator and executive producer allow these judges to put anybody through without his permission? He may not be worth half a billion, but the crux of the matter is he has still beaten elvis at something. This doesn't necessarily make him better than elvis but it does mean elvis is not perfect and that jay-z has been successful whether you think him deserving or notAnd as far as i can tell justme09 has not once compared Jay-Z to God. I believe i did not use the phrase stealing and if i did then lok at the context. Another Elvis fan was criticising Jay Z for using lyrics from somebody else. I merely pointed out that at the very least Jay Z had never coveredI am aware of the difference between stealing and covering and am far from mentally challenged. I myself have no real problems with elvis. Whilst i wouldn't listen to Elvis for pleasure i can understand why people would and i understand the significance his music holds. My main reason for entering this exchange was the fact that i couldn't believe the pedestal people have placed him on.Jay-Z has had more #1 albums, this doesn't make either party better than the other but does show Elvis is not infallible, something people seem to find hard to grasp
