Not necessarily. I used to cut my arms (not much though, I cut my hips more) and I did not do it for attention. The main reason was that I was not ashamed of it. To me there was no point in hiding it... I loved my cuts, and I still love my scars. It's tough to explain. But, if she were doing it for attention, is that really THAT bad? I mean she might be lacking parental attention (estranged father) and that could cause her to act out the way she is.

As a recovered self-injurer (5 years, hundreds of cuts), I would say that Demi Lovato is cutting herself. At first glance, everyone thinks it's just photoshop, but the fact that Demi's rep released the bracelet statement says otherwise. If it were photoshopped, the rep would have released a statement saying just that instead of making up an excuse. It's terrible that they would lie for her and that Demi is going through this. I just sincerely hope that she does not become addicted to the pain like I and so many other people have.

Why should he take it down when all kinds of news sites are the ones putting up in the first place? No one seems to care when US Weekly posts this kind of stuff, but when Perez Hilton does it it is horrible and disrespectful.Anyway, this video is terrifyingly sad. I believe this could have started his addiction... Burns hurt like hell and painkillers feel like Heaven. Who wouldn't become addicted after something so horrifying? I know I would.

Ok, you know what? News stations post these 911 calls, not just internet gossip sites. Nancy Grace, for example, plays them all of the time. Watch CNN, they played Michael Jacksons. Don't treat Perez like shit just because he runs a gossip site. If you don't like it, contact the people who released it to the public.
