They have the same tempo, but it doesn't sound like she was stealing from the Halo song. I think that it is just a coincidence that both songs have the same tempo and pace. That's not stealing a song --- and not plagiarism or illegal.
I like Trueblood for the overall plot. The bigotry and prejudice against the vampires with humans. The hate crimes they deal with. The characters are also pretty complex and interesting as well. From the angry girl with an alcholic mother, to the leading lady's brother, a sex addict and comical idiot, who is completely confused with his love/hate relationship with vampires. The cook who suffers form postraumatic stress, the cop who wishes for his town to look at him as a hero to the people.
There is so much variety in Trueblood besides just being a vampire love or action flick. It's actually telling the stories of the lives of each character and how all the craziness is making their lives even more complex. You can't beat it. An awesome tale. A memorable classic in the future.
It's average. Enough to carry a tune. Enough to not sound like a cat dying. So it works. They didn't ask her to do a Whitney Houston song, so she's well within her range.
I say she should sue the living hell out of the Donald Trump and his pageant. She did also take semi-nude/nude pics, but her title was stripped form her. Carrie's is not. She's right. Looks like someone's got a huge paycheck coming their way. With Trump doing this, he did create a double standard and hypocrisy.
As I said, if Carrie gets to represent the state of California and she gets away with showing the goods, you may has well let a porn star, a Playboy model, Hustler, Penthouse, all these other nude models go for the crown too.
