Its never good to generalize. I'm Catholic and an avid Obama supporter. I guess i'm just lucky that my church is run by liberal jesuit preists. honestly (and I am proof of this) not all catholics belive this way. I am personally pro life however i recognize the fact that not all people in America have the same religious beliefs as I do and women should have a right to choose for themselves. America is not just for Christians if for all beliefs and therefor we can't make laws based on Christian morality. Its up to Christians to follow the laws of our religion on our own.
Hey i'm an American in Japan too! :) I'm so happy right now i could cry! We've seen for 8 years what the republican adjenda has done to our country. Its time to see what the Dems can do to fix it. Obama has a lot on his plate there is alot that must be fixed. its going to be a hard road so i hope that he can pull it off. I belive that he can. GOD bless America and Obama
Whats wrong with gay people demanding equal rights? Arn't they American also? Wern't they also born in the same country as straight americans? People have the right to their religious beliefs after all we have the freedom of religion in America. However we also have the separation of church and state and this is an important thing that evengelical christians forget about. Your entitled to your beliefs but others are entitled to theirs as well no matter what you think about it. In America all should be equal and have the same rights. If certain denomonations of Christianity want to deny services of marriage to Gay couples thats another story but the legal rights and title of marriage belong to ALL people. Everyone should have the chance to get married if they want to. If you don't like it then don't do it but you don't have the right to tell Other people what to do! If threw out the concept of separation of church and state then America would be no better than Iran or Afghanastan. think about it.
