perez can say what he wants and if you don't like it you can leave. everyone is entitled to their opinion and the church should have thought about the repercussions their bigotry would bring. when ignorance (in this case by the mormon church) speaks negative reactions happen.
sure sundance may be an innocent victim but you can thank the mormon church for putting them in that situation. they were the ones that fought to get prop 8 to pass in california and if the gay/str8 alliances choose not to support anything within the utah borders or anyone anywhere that supported prop 8 so be it.
