I believe this about Michael. He never got to be a kid. While other kids were playing, doing kid things, he was facing a very adult world as a child. I believe he distrusted adults and became detached from the world he lived in and drew inside himself for comfort never really assimlating himself into the adult life he was forced into, yet never had the childhood he should have. Once he was out from under his father's abusive overbearing thumb he was able to do things on his own and make his own decisions for the first time, he chose to try and live the childhood he never had vicariously through the children that visited. I believe he trusted them and loved their innocence and what once was a heartfelt love transitioned to a physical love. Not because he was some demon, but because I think he lost touch with reality and the consequences attached to his alternate reality we not even an afterthought because he truly felt he was doing nothing wrong. I believe he honestly thought he was a child and not an adult. He was sooo deep and far gone in his transition from adult to kid he no longer could separate the two. What sane person dangles his child from a high rise hotel? However a kid would do that. If anyone deserves the blame in all of this it is his dad for robbing him of his innocence and his childhood.

As much as I believe in my heart that Michael molested those children, I believe this about Michael. He never got to be a kid. This is a tragic loss for the music industry and on what he did in his personal life, he is being judged on that truth right now. Just my take on it.
