The word "cameo" is used when a prominent/WELL-KNOWN/famous actor takes a small part on a film/show/commercial who would ordinarily not take such a small part.
She was a rich kid, her father was an entrepreneur. Lady GaGa went to a school where the cost to attend is $30,690 A YEAR. You may want to think she got into the public eye the "old school" way, but when you go to a school that costs more than what many Americans make in a year, that's highly doubtful...
Why would she be in for the money? She already had it all along, unlike MOST celebrities. To me, coming from the Mickey Mouse club or American Idol IS doing it the old school way, building your way up.
With that said, I do like her, I give credit where credit is due, but I would totally respect someone who built their way up from a Mickey Mouse Club or American Idol more than someone who probably and most likely had influences all along.
