Now the African people with AIDS are a bit different. I mean, who can really tell them not to have kids? What can you do?
I think the only way to really deal with that is to make sure they're totally educated on the subject and know that there is a good chance that any kids they have will have AIDS (or do all of their children have it? I don't know...). If they know what they're getting in to, they can make a more informed decision as to whether or not they want to have children.
Health care is another big thing. We have so many medicines now that can make living with AIDS so much easier. If we could get those medicines to the people that are actually afflicted, maybe this wouldn't be such a huge issue. Of course, that is a problem in and of itself. Honestly, Africa's just a mess right now. Well, most of it is. And no amount of preaching on the Pope's part is going to change that.
No, I have to disagree with you Perez. What he's saying makes sense. It's unrealistic and ridiculously optimistic, sure, but that doesn't mean it's wrong.
I'm not going to say that people should only ever have sex with one person and that condoms are evil. They aren't, and having sex with only one or two people in your lifetime is an unrealistic goal for most. I just don't see why you can't do both-- limit the amount of physically intimate partners you have and use condoms unless you know that the person has been tested for STDs. It's practical, relatively safe, and totally doable. Well, unless you're a total sex addict and you just HAVE to fuck everything that walks. In that case, go to rehab. Condoms aren't going to help you much.
Ugh people are disgusting. Especially the people on here. Look, Chris Brown is a dick. Any way you put it, he's a dick. Kobe got off because, while there was a lot of proof, there wasn't COMPLETE evidence. Chris Brown? Yeah, we all saw the pictures AND the police report. He's guilty. And you know what? If you buy his albums you are supporting him. In one way or another, you are helping his career along. If you buy his CD's, you are a complete and total idiot. No one's asking you to stop listening to his music, they're just saying that you shouldn't financially support someone who has a history of abuse (this wasn't the first time he's been abusive with her... it wasn't just "one mistake"... it's a cycle).
