Both Olivier and Fiennes were in their 30s when they played Heathcliff. Sewell and Purefoy may be in their 40s by now, but they don't look it.
But it doesn't matter because they're obviously going to just do the first half of the story and leave out Heathcliff's revenge. So either way, it's going to be lame. Westwick's casting just confirms that this is going to be just another shitty movie for fangirls to obsess over, all making dumb icons and wallpapers, "shipping" characters, and wasting $30 on I'M MRS HEATHCLIFF shirts at Hot Topic.
What? WHAT?! Perez, you have lost your mind if you seriously think some D-grade drama beef cake has the chops to pull off one of the most complicated, tortured characters in Victorian literature. If you had been lauding about perfect casting because they had cast Rufus Sewell, or James Purefoy, I'd be right with you.
I know you don't actually read the comments, but god damn, a shitty squint does not make a dude a fine tragic actor.
THIS. Exactly this. Plus, I love that jacket on her. Did Trinny and Susannah get their hands on SuBo? :D
