I hope they go with someone who actually suits the description of the character. RDJ is awesome, and I'd love to see him as a vamp, but not Lestat. They should find a relative unknown for the part.
Too bad his music actually does speak for itself, as Patrick Wolf is incredibly talented. Neverwas? He's a successful indie musician who gets overwhelmingly positive reviews. Fame and good music rarely go together.
