Perez ya obviously don't know how the government works, he can't just strike a hand down and make gay marriage the law of the land even if he wanted to. It has to come through legislation, through the LEGISLATIVE branch, and then he'll sign it into law. Meaning, you've got to speak with your reps about sponsoring a gay marriage bill and getting enough people to sign on to it, so it will get to Obama's desk. He'll sign it, it just has to be through the will of the people, not through some executive decision.
BE YOUR OWN ROLE MODEL LOSERS. It's ridiculous that we're making a big deal about what a person does in his private life. He's human, not a superhero. He's busted his ass, and reached the height of his career, so who cares when he partakes in recreational activity in his off time. He's getting paid to endorse a product, not be be a role model. He's doing Speedo a favor by endorsing their briefs. ANd speedo's smart enough to realize MP could snort coke of a hookers ass, but that won't stop the fact that the's the winningest olympian, and that there are still dumbass people in this world who will want to wear what he wears..
The Olympic committee should let this one slide, it's not like weed is a performance enhancer or gave him a competitive edge. Or did it? *wink wink*
The world needs to grow the fuck up about cannabis, it's a plant that has less of an impact on someone's functionality than alchohol, if used recreationally or on an occasional basis. Legalize and move on to more pressing issues like job creation or energy solutions.
Obama goes on to say "I AM NOT OPTIMISTIC ABOUT BRINGING MAJOR REDISTRIBUTIVE CHANGE THROUGH THE COURTS. THE INSTITUTION JUST ISN'T STRUCTURED THAT WAY."
If you had heard what he said in his entirety, or even read the transcript then you would know that he was actually speaking against the courts being involved in redistribution. He was basically saying that if you're going to go all the way to enact civil rights from the top down, you have to level the playing field. If you aren't going to do that, then the change has to come from the bottom up, from coalitions and grassroots movement. You can't institutionalize change. A VERY CONSERVATIVE IDEAL. You're just too blind with Obama hate to actually see it.
They don't even know the pain of what they'll feel when they go to jail. Inmates don't look too kindly on offenders who involve children in any way, even the Aryan Brotherhood people won't go near those guys.
It's shit like this that validates the views that people like Jeramiah Wright have. Thank God the feds actually did their job.
