And for the record, I truly consider medical information to be a privileged part of my job. Now, to educate you a bit, I can't be "disbarred" because I'm not a lawyer. I do hold the priviliged information of my job in the "sticktease" of confidence, not even telling my husband, something I am sure you don't have. Did I mention I am a HIPAA compliance officer? I'm sure your aunt is a good nurse, but if her insider info is in fact correct she violated HIPAA policy, and so should do a bit of rethinking of how she conducts herself as she goes about her job, and perhaps a refresher course on the legalities of it.
