I also agree with someone above who said that noone was really listening to what they said. They weren't calling for Elton John's death. I personally think they were trying to get a headline that would be very eye-catching and they chose "Elton John Must Die" referring to a Bible verse that states that all of humankind will ultimately die and face God where we'll be judged for our sins. All he meant was that Elton John will die and will (according to his beliefs) face God and will have to answer for his statement about Jesus being gay. If we expect everyone else to not be shortsighted, then we too have to not be shortsighted and really listen to people. If we treat everyone like they treat us, then who is right? I think that this should not so much as anger Christians, but cause greater compassion for those who are truly lost in this world and have no idea that we are not just here to wear great clothes and eat at restaurants and hold jobs and read perezhilton.com, have casual sex, etc. That we are here and that what we do here matters eternally according to the God that created us and the whole universe, whether we believe in Him, or whether we like it or not.

And there aren't that many Chileans living here in the US. But there are 1000s of Americans living in Chile for various reasons...people are so stupid.
