Well, to all you people insulting Degrassi: 1. Go sit on an axe and rotate; 2. Go watch the old seasons, because you OBVIOUSLY haven't seen the goods that is Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High!! And a note to Perez: this is actually the second movie in the Degrassi brand - or name, at least. The first was during one of the last seasons of Degrassi High. I haven't seen it, but I'm told it is amazing. Degrassi was so amazing because it was real; the show forced teens to think about important issues that they may not have otherwise thought about. This 'new generation' lives up to that name, but nowhere near to the same standards. It's fluff - just as most of the carbon copy teen soaps out there. As a matter of fact, BRING BACK RE-RUNS OF THE OLD DEGRASSI!!!!!!!
You know... I feel completely retarded for even sharing this, but I have enjoyed your site (and defended you in conversation) for a very long time - and for the first time, you've made me cry. I'll have you know that it's tough being a bi-sexual guy... they have to deal with people like the two of you! Then try being a girl seeing a bi-sexual guy. This really got to me, until I remembered the hours he spent ‘admiring’ my body and exclaiming that boy or girl, he only wanted me. Then I began to recall the many similar events and quickly became enraged at your ironic position. So... it's ok for a boy to like a girl (and vice versa); a boy to like a boy; or a girl to like a girl... but you have to pick one or the other?! It's gay or straight... one way, or the other? That is extremely closed minded of you. ON top of that, how offensive to women! It's as if that whole little bit was a way to promote male superiority while insulting females. As for Margaret Cho... stop talking unless you have another one of those useful tampon tips. If you promote equality, embrace what that really means or be honest about your intentions. I thought this site was about trashing celebrities, not your readers. - ex-reader.
Wow. Watching this, I was laughing my ass off thinking, 'Wow... this guy is so hilarious! I need to check out msnbc.com...' But alas, I go to post a thank you comment and am completely turned off by many of your brainwashed, conservative, american ideals. Yes, adding a spouse to an insurance plan will cost money, but theoretically, it would cost the same amount of money as if these people were to enter a heterosexual marriage. I think the only issue with Olbermann's research is that the 16 Billion dollars would probably be a burst of stimulus that would eventually die down; however, isn't that what the american - excuse me, North American economy needs right now? If you have moral qualms, you are completely entitled to your opinion, but if you have a seemingly sound plan to increase stimulus, without government funding, during an economic recession, it may be advised to enact that plan. But hey, since the regulations on the market were removed, the economy has just been fluctuating, right? Think about your 'free market' ideals and who they really help, because I doubt it's anyone who reads this website.
