Man has been a hunter since he existed. Whats unethical is corporate agriculture raising animals for meat nose to ass while pumping them full of drugs so they dont die from infection before they get butchered.
I have severe crohn's disease and there are so many foods that I can not eat without agonizing pain milk, eggs, wheat, corn, sugar, gluten, yeast , beans tomato etc etc etc. .... Meat is one thing that never hurts me, but I buy it from a farmer who raises his animals without supplements and with large pastures.
All I have to do is listen to my own body to know that it is natural and healthy, and visit that farm to know what I am doing is ethical.
You can not arrive at a conclusion that eating animals is unethical in all circumstances through reasoned analysis UNLESS you have an inherent bias, Just as a vegan can't conclude its ethical unless they hold the same bias as an omnivore. Its one of those things.
