"That's the best they could come up with????? " Why did they even come with anything? They really shouldn't have to. You're such a bandwagon fan, Perez. When Adam wouldn't publicly say he's gay, you were trashing him on a daily basis. You even thought his decision to come out in ROLLING STONE was kind of lame. Now that he's out, loud, and proud, and creating controversy, you love him now more than ever. The only reason I think you have such a vested interest in this story is somehow, even when Adam moves on from it, you will continue to drag it out and even somehow attach your name to it just so you can feed off of it like a true fame whore.
"Just because she grew a mustache and wore no makeup doesn't make her a good actress." Right..like you're the end all and be all of knowing what makes a good actress.
If America can "celebrate" a former crack addict (Whitney), give an award to a "dead guy" (Michael) and give "performer of the year" to someone who is practically a "fetus" (Taylor); they should be able to handle a little "guy on guy" action to close the AMA's… How is being 20 years old close to a fetus? Barbra Streisand, Kate Bush, Fiona Apple, Mariah Carey, among others, had released albums and/or won awards by the time they were 20. Taylor wasn't "given" performer of the year..the people voted, and I don't see how that would fit in the category of being offensive. And I'm sure there were a lot more former and current drug users sitting in that audience, including Mr. Lambert himself.
PS. 1500 is pretty modest compared to the half a million that complained about JJ's nipple showing during the superbowl. Sure more people tune in to football than the AMAs, but 1500 out of the millions that watched the show doesn't really indicate an uptight audience like you think.
Perez, you were hating on him before for not telling everyone he was gay or not being gay enough, but now since he's out waving his rainbow flag, you act like he's brilliant. Typical attitude among the gay community (my peers) when it comes to entertainment: they think just because it's gay, for gays, by gays, supports gays, etc., it must be good.
