you do realize that obama was in the illinois senate before he went to the us senate right...and he wasnt running for pres when he was an illinois senator so yes he was part of the chicago politics....how do you think he got elected to the us senate? jack ryan had a "scandal" and pulled out of the race leaving the seat open for obama to take.

okay perez no where did the almighty chuck norris mention anything about religion....majority of the united states may be okay with a gay couple on tv but when it comes to real life and marriage like it or not America is still very conservative. You have civil unions for the time being which give you a lot of the same rights as a married couple so why not jsut be happy with that. Marriage defined by almost every culture in the world (not religion but actual cultures) is between a man and a woman. Deal with it already and quit being babies that you lost an election. Im a republican and you dont see me holding protests and boycotting black people because I didnt get my way. And as far as this being a civil rights movement....are you really going to compare not being able to get married because of a sexual preference to being declared 3/5 human for skin color (something you cannot control) i mean honestly.......if you want to get married that bad perez marry a woman....you might hafta pay her but you'd probably hafta pay a man too
