My December was a really good CD, and sonically, very similar to Breakaway, so I don't know why Perez thinks it sucks so badly. The lyrics were personal to her, and it was an album she wanted to make. Why does making "radio friendly" fare make her a good artist. It is just as impressive to make an album that doesn't sell super huge, but has importance to you. I hope she always follows her instincts, and doesn't release just music that is suited to sound like everything else on the radio.
