Roy Cohn (spelled without the e) is the name of the lawyer who became famous during the McCarthy hearings during the 1950's; he was the person who lead to the execution of the Rosenbergs. He was also a closeted homosexual who dies of AIDS complications. His character is also represented in Tony Kushner's "Angels in America."
