Totally wrong title for this comment. To a person who understands legal terms and legal ideology, Cheney is saying he is cool with the way things are. The biggest indicator is that Cheney says gay marriage is a state issue; leaving this issue to state legislatures is how exactly how California got in this position with Prop 8. Don't you see how he's skirting around his opinion that "marriage" should only include heterosexual relationships??? Read the passage as a whole; do not read only the words you want to read!
