Perez, I hate to burst your bubble regarding the possibility that Lady GaGa drove the ratings up but quite frankly most of watched it to see the tribute to Michael Jackson and than got caught up in the drama...I do have to say Lady GaGa's performance was very good:)

I am from the Motor City and can I say this is absolutely sincere and wonderful. I understand your need to play devil's advocate and be funny but it is not often that an entertainer takes it upon himself to do something nice for his community. Jay Leno entertained for thousands of people for free here in Detroit, George Lopez ralied at a local park during the election for free, Bob Seger, Kid Rock, Aretha Franklin, Eddie Money Ted Nugent etc have all participated in charity and fundraiser events. Unlike other states, Entertainers who are from Michigan are known for their generosity within the state.
