WeekWeak at 23:54 02/22/2009take the phone away and suspend her. jail is a place for people who commit crime, not a 14 year old girl who disobeys her teacher. how can you say continuing to text after being asked to stop is any different than continuing to talk to someone next to you in class after being told not to???? detention and suspension are there and can be implemented before an arrest is made. this is absurd!!! if not obeying a teacher is jail-worthy, we better start building more jails for all of the "disorderly conduct" which occurs daily within a high school classroom!
