I NEVER go to Walmart. I buy wonderful quality items secondhand. I own the best clothing out of everyone I know. I own items that are sold at Nordstroms and Sacks. I have better furniture than all of my friends and coworkers. I have durable heavy leather sofas. I bought all of these things for the price of cheap CRAP from Walmart if I had bought it there new.
I shop at thrift shops, antique stores, Craigslist, and ebay. I do occasionally buy something new and I make sure it is made in the US or at least not made in China.
My family just gets by and we spend less without going to Walmart. I don't understand the logic when people say they stretch their dollar... On what? Cheap picture frames? Lava lamps? Plastic toys laced with lead? Sam's Club crackers and Ramen noodles?
There is nothing that I need at Walmart so I would be WASTING money to go there. For the quality of what you are buying it is not a deal at all. I eat organic foods and cook at home so buying my groceries there is not an option either. Since I don't go out to eat I spend less and can continue to shop at Trader Joes.
