It was all a political decision to put away a brave man so that the government will not be ridiculed by Raja Petra's wit and wisdom on a daily basis. He had bombarded them relentlessly exposing their lack of logic and utter incompetence. This is what they want to stop. This is what they want to prevent desperately. It's not the religion. The problem lies with the people who misinterpret it.
I'm Malaysian as well, and it's painful to see that RPK is being detained for speaking the truth. Really, this is all politically motivated. The ISA is being used as a tool to shut people up. It was even used on a journalist who was merely quoting a politician that made racist comments.
Yes, it is outrageous that the Internal Security Act is being utilized so lackadaisically. But, we are NOT a communist country, contrary to popular belief and we do not kill Christians or people of other religions. I'm a Buddhist and I'm still alive, aren't I? In fact, an extremely large majority of us are accepting of other races/religions. It's just a small minority and the ignorance of others that make Malaysians appear "uncivilized" and such.
To those who made racist comments here, do your research before saying anything that would make you sound incredibly unintelligent.
