I think reclaiming the language has value, I really do. I don't think it should be used negatively, as that sort of reinforces the negative connotation, but it's tricky water you know?
Regardless, apologizing is very classy, and well done for you.
Are you shitting me?!?!? This is comedy GOLD!!! Who gives a shit if he answers. Everyone with a brain knows he's day, and FOR ONCE, someone is using "the gay card" to make their career hotter instead of letting it kill them.
I love that he doesn't answer, even though it's *obvious*. I love that he uses it against the haters.
I am a SERIOUS Queen fan. I mean HARDCORE, name a baby Freddie, serious lover of Queen.
When Brian May appeared on that stage, I got a mad adrenaline rush. When Allen (who frankly, is a good singer) started singing We Are The Champions, I found my good natured "Allen is ok" quickly becoming "WTF IS THIS?!"
Then Adam started singing, and I literally made an audible noise of delight (I believe they call it a 'SQUEE').
Queen has (in my opinion) disastrously tried to tour with other well-known singers who simply did not have the chops. I would buy a Queen album with Adam Lambert fronting. I would pay hundreds for a front row ticket to that show. He absolutely has the vocal ability to sing that music. And that's like... the highest compliment I think I know of.
