NO DRINK ON THE STARBUCKS MENU COSTS 6$. TIM HORTONS BUYS THIER COFFEE FROM MAJOR COFFEE DISTRIBUTORS WHICH MARK UP THIER COFFEE THOUSANDS OF PERCENTS.... so a farmer spends 16 hours a day coming out in the negatives for you to have a coffee at 1.10....
As a very proud employee of starbucks, i'd just like to say that some of your comments are RIDICULOUS! Yes this fiscal year turned out a little low, SO DID EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE US! YOUR COUNTRY's ECONOMY HAS GONE DOWN THE TOILET. Starbucks in Canada is doing jsut fine, and is a great place to work.... And for all of you who say our coffee sucks, and is overpriced- did you ever think about what gets done with that money? Starbucks does so much for the community and coffee farmers around the world, something we like to call SOCIAL RESPONSIBILTIY. So while you sit at home drinking your nabob that tastes like socks out of the freezer, just know that you got that cup of ''joe'' from a farmer who works and comes out with less than he started out with. Our coffee is good- people who dont like it dont because they're used to crappy cheap coffee that just supports terrrible third world-situations to coffee farmers in the southern hemosphere. So while you all go hating on starbucks for thier ethical ways and great coffee, just remember you dont see foldgers teaming up with product (red) in the near future!
