"stfup" is especially ignorant because he/she is obviously not familiar with the constitution of our country and of this state, which provides for equal protection as well as freedom from religion.
a simple lesson would have you know that if marriage is indeed a religious pact and dictated by a religion, then it has no business on this secular govt's law books-- the 1st amendment. second, california has equal protection laws. we can't grant privileges to one group but not another.
