Really not her responsibility to financially cover for her sister's estranged (by some reports divorced) husband's debts. It doesn't matter how much money someone has, I find it amazing that you would suggest that she is somehow morally obligated to reimburse these people for business investments that have NOTHING to do with her.
I normally enjoy your site, but lately it just seems really sloppy and uninformed- ie. "news" that other gossip sites post hours earlier, spelling and grammatical mistakes, and now this ridiculousness.

I can't believe you don't know the whole story on this! She is swimming in debt now due to the huge inheritance taxes she was hit with after the death of her partner, Susan Sontag. Sontag owned several properties (in name) that the couple shared, and when she died Annie was forced to pay $$$$ in taxes- something that wouldn't happen had the pair been legally allowed to marry. I know nothing about these current money woes, but the sinkhole she is currently in is due to inheritance taxes to keep her late partner's property.
After what happened today with prop 8, I would think you would highlight the very real consequences of not being allowed to marry.
