If you didn't want a conflict, why would you say something that you knew would piss them off? I'm not saying that you deserved it, but you shouldn't have said anything at all, and perhaps this whole drama could have been avoided?

Well.... there's already been a sequel. First, Silence of the Lambs, then Hannibal, then they made Red Dragon, and then Hannibal Rising. That's the complete Hannibal Lecter film and book series.
So, either Thomas Harris is in the works with a fifth book or helping out with the fifth installment in the film series. If neither's happening, I bet this movie will be shitty as hell.
