The issue of forgiving him for this statement has less to do with liberal vs. conservative/Democrat vs. Republican and more so with the character of the individual who is able to 1. recognize he made a mistake 2. take responsibility for his actions and 3. making amends/apologies. Not everyone has the cojones (sp?) to do that, privately let along in the public eye. Those folks who don't, usually have a track record of not doing so and therefore are more prone to getting crucified/having their heads taken off! It's all about the character of the individual!!!

Let this be a lesson, kids...if you wanna sound cool because you know that the "Shocker" is a suggestive hand signal, at least be smart enough to know what the actual signal is.
