on Like An Old Married Couple at 12:48 06/23/2008Perez, your comment about breasfeeding is not just tasteless, but uneducated. In saying that Samantha Ronson would enjoy breastfeeding only perpetuates the sexualization of breasts and the act of breastfeeding, which is one of the main reasons women in the US can't breastfeed freely in public. Contrary to your implication, breastfeeding is not a sexual act. Babies lose the ability to breastfeed once they wean, which is why adults can't feed from the breasts of their lactating partners. That is nature's way of making sure only the baby gets it. In the future, use your privileged position as the force behind this blog to spread positive messages, and you would do well to refrain from the vulgar and puerile.

on Lovers Lunch at 20:25 06/21/2008Perez, shame on you. The popularity of your blog gives you a unique opportunity to spread tolerance towards the gay lifestyle, but your personal vendetta against Samantha Ronson is causing you to make offensive and disgusting anti-gay remarks. As a lesbian, I'm appalled at your treatment of Samantha and Lohan. They have the guts to be an out couple, but, as long as you have your way, they will garner only ridicule. Don't think the gay community doesn't recognize your hypocritical stand against their affair. Take some time to think about the moral and ethical implications of your role as uber-blogger before you shoot from the hip because of a personal grudge. I would like to think you're a bigger person than your comments about these two would suggest. If you want to be taken seriously for the long term, you need to seriously contemplate what stand you choose to take regarding gays, and then be consistent, regardless of personal vendettas. Other gossip columnists can do it. Take a clue from them. The novelty factor of your endeavor will only last so long. What do you want? A quick splash of fame and then be a has been, or a persona that garners respect because your comments, however snarky, at least keep you on the moral high ground? Think about it.
