Ok... after reading a bunch of comments here.... I'm getting SICK of everyone defending the military on this matter. It's not a matter of defending one's country... Its a matter of ignorance. What is the military defending? Freedom right? Ok so how can you tell the people out there risking their lives and fighting for us that when they come home they have to be something their not?!? Isn't that what this country was based on? Freedom from opression and the government telling you who you can or can't be? My husband is in the military and I support the military but don't keep using that as an excuse for ignorance.

Sadly, most in the military do think this way. Notice I said MOST not ALL. I'm a bisexual, liberal democrat that just happened to fall in love with a Navy man... and there's nothing I hate more than when this topic is brought up with 20+ military guys around. I don't understand the hatred... If you're not gay and you don't wanna sleep with a gay guy.... then WTF is the problem?!?! I think its a classic case of "he who doth protest too much" ;)
