on Quote of the Day at 18:15 02/04/2009Mr. King speaks the truth! I agree that the concept of the story is good but most of it was swiped from Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire Series (the Sookie Stackhouse books). Harris's books are told from the perspective of a young woman who falls for a gentlemanly vampire (who is about the same age as Edward). He has trouble resisting her scent, he likes expensive cars, he's trying to fit in to normal society, etc. Sookie's close friend is a werewolf who has eyes for her. Even some distinctive words Harris used show up in the Twilight books. Meyers basically gleaned the premise but changed it to a teen melodrama and made the ingenue whiny and hormonal instead of tough and independent (like Sookie). She's a plagiarist and a shitty writer. She should give Harris a chunk of that Twilight cash.

on Spot The Celebs at 00:27 01/21/2009I think I pulled something trying to "spot" them. And I don't even give a shit. I just read a funny review of the last episode on thedopebox.com. Good show, gettin' a little heavy on the coke references though.

on Tom Cruise Attempts Funny, Fails Miserably at 02:25 12/17/2008Aw, give the little guy a break! Besides, that was clearly written FOR him not BY him. He didn't know what one of the words was. Poor dyslexic Scientolomidget.
