If you read the article from Kate's BROTHER and sister-in-law Jon didn't "cheat" per se because Kate drew up a contract that said he was allowed to date other woman so long as he stayed on the show because they pull down $75,000/episode and she didn't want the show to end. He has been living in an apt. over the garage so they have not been living like a married couple since Novemeber. So I think he justifies seeing someone else because in his mind he is not married. And as for the money thing---Kates own brother said the some thing....that Jon was forced to live on his 401K because she kept the money locked up.
I think the whole thing is so hypocritical. I'm heterosexual and I happen to think that heterosexuals are the ones who ruined marriage! What about "common-law" marriage. You want all the benefits without signing the document. And the divorce rate is 50%--doesn't look to me that hetero's take marriage very seriously. Perhaps those who fight against gay marriage should focus their energy into healing the hetero side of things instead of denying basic human rights to others.
