I think the show sucks now BECAUSE of all these specialty appearances. The show used to be about a huge family and how that huge family dealt with everyday hassles that people with fewer children didn't neccessarily have to. And about how the family themselves interacted with each other. Now it looks like every other Hollywood "reality" show. They might as well be the Osbournes. The big house, doesn't make a difference. It's the way John and Kate are acting about each other, within each other's presence and without, and how the innocence of these children just shines on through their bullshit.

Finally, somebody who doesn't make their sexuality the only defining characteristic about themselves. If sexuality truly is just a matter of choice and a natural fact of life, then let's make it as such and not indulge in media frenzies about it. He has no obligation to answer any questions about it.

This thing really comes down to semantics. I truly believe that gay people should have the same marriage rights that I have as a heterosexual. But the word marriage has so many different meanings. Some people with a more conservative opinon of gay marriage are hung up on the word marriage - because of its deep rooted, historically religious connotations. For most religious or faithful people, marriage does not just mean the union of two people, it's the union of people with with the purpouse of creating life, God willing, and that is the dogma of their religion. It's the creating life part of the religious connotation that conservatives are very confused about. It's true that all people deserve civil rights, but I'm really ready to hear about a homosexual who is speaking out with the same intelligence as Martin Luther King, Jr. All this finger pointing and name calling is so opposite of what either side is trying to prove. There are questions on both sides that need answered, and until someone is smart enough to answer those questions with honesty and integrity, this whole thing will continue. No offense Perez, sometimes you don't help your cause by flying off the handle. As for Miss California, she gave an honest awnser and if that's her belief than so be it.
