Voting....it's a right and it's a part of living in a DEMOCRACY. Obviously, I know you don't approve the prop.8 approval, but the majority does. And that's how democracy works. Mass protest will not change anything. As long as this country is and I pray stays a democracy, the decision of gay marriage will stay with the people and depend on them. So stop causing tax payers more money with your 'disruptions'. Move some where else if you don't like it.

It's called democracy. People vote, the majority wins. A protest in the streets will not change that, and frankly, I find that pretty disgraceful.
Did you see people out in hordes protesting Obama winning because they voted for McCain?(If so, the number of ppl protesting compared to the ratio of most of America vs the CA prop 8 protestors is not even debatable) And before anyone tries to counter with this being a personal issue, let's just remember that in this election yesterday there were some very diverse and personal viewpoints about abortion, taxes, and the war in Iraq affecting many, if not most the people voting.
I hate how people take the system of "Democracy" for granted. As citizens of this country, We we way too often take for granted the privilege we have to be able vote and determine the choices of this country. If you don't like how our government works, then do us all a favor and go somewhere you do approve of. Protesting only costs tax payers more money and really gets NOTHING accomplished.
Oh and just to let you know, we all have EQUAL rights in America right now. You have the right to marry someone of the opposite sex and so do I. But NEITHER of us have to RIGHT to marry someone of the SAME sex. I'm not saying I'm against it, but I hate it when people say the rights aren't equal, b/c no one is getting rights someone else isn't. Because they are the same for everyone. Yes, there needs to be talk and hopefully laws about gay marriage and put into place giving them rights. I believe in that that completely. But I just hate it when people say they don't get the same rights as 'heterosexuals' do. Because, when you break it down, we all have the same rights, and we are all limited just the same.
