actually he WAS cut for Michael Vick. Jeff Garcia gained a roster spot when ANDREWS went on the IR. Hank was released to make room for VICK. It has been mentioned in every article that he was released for Vick to get a roster spot... including the article perez tagged in the post.

ohhh and just to let you other "eagles fans" know.....Hank Baskett WAS released to make room for michael vick on the 53 man roster. ANDREWS was sent to the Injured Reserve to make room for GARCIA.
