I'm italian and find it pretty offensive that I am constantly asked if I am in the mob just because of my last name. People do awful italian accents to me and I'm supposed to laugh. So making fun of us is okay, but not other groups. Hmm ok.
Some of them aren't italian, but some are so that is a stupid argument.
