Exactly. That's the point many of us Centrist Christians try to make while the right-wingers are making it harder and harder for anyone to take someone calling themselves "Christian" seriously. I was told by Christ to love my neighbor and to judge not lest I be judged. If God has a problem with gay people, God will deal with them in God's time. In the mean time, I will be compassionate and loving towards everyone I can (falling short from time to time, I admit).
