I totally don't agree with his donation to Prop 8 and myself voted against it donated money to the opposition and wrote all of my representatives in protest of it and of the process itself. But knowing the Doug personally I know he isn't a hater. Everyone should know there are two sides to every story. She comes from money herself and isn't a stupid women. Prop 8 won't get repealed in 2010, it is better to wait for 2012 when more people will go to the polls than in 2010 b/c it is a presidential election. We also need to start working on our federal reps. I do taxes for gay couples and I find it crazy they not only have to file 3 tax returns (if they are married in CA) which means accountants can charge them more. That is just the beginning of the injustice they face. I think it is absurd that a simple majority can vote to take away a right from people but it takes a 2/3 majority in the state legislature to pass a budget and a 2/3 majority to impose a new tax (at least in San Diego).
I carry my two year old son like this or in a football hold all the time when he throws tantrums. It is the only way they can't get out of your grasp. And my son decides to take off his jacket all the time or won't wear one at all, so sometimes it is just not worth the fight.
