The truth mostly likely is somewhere in the middle of their two sides. Maybe Will Smith got a little haughty and maybe Janet Hubert expected a little more from her part in the show. I will say this - when woman are aggressive with their careers, they're quickly launched in the category of "pushy" or "bitchy". When men are aggressive with their careers, they're considered "driven for success". Who knows? Maybe that double standard could've factored into their clash.
"Male or female, she's one of the funniest people on the planet!"
You wouldn't say "Gay or straight (insert: gay comedian) is one of the funniest people..." or "Black or white (insert: black comedian) is one of the funniest people..."
