Wow, way to judge something you clearly know absolutely nothing about...
Hirst may not be my personal favorite, but I can respect that the guy is incredibly talented and intelligent... unlike some people on this site who truly seem 'deranged in the head' in the sense that they are so unbelievably sheltered and closed minded that they would make blanket statements about all people of a particular professions, religeon, race, political party, etc.
Grow up. And go to a museum. You might learn something.
First of all, Sensation was not a 'death' exhibit - it was an exhibition of cutting edge contemporary art featuring several of the YBAs ('Young British Artists'), one of whom is Hirst. Giuliani reacted a lot like the critics who bashed the Impressionists in the 19th century, saying that what they were doing could not be classified as art. Look where that got them. Secondly, Hirst doesn't kill the animals, he just uses taxidermied animals to make his work, just as Natural History Museums use them for their displays. Not unethical by any means. He is one of the most respectable contemporary artists in the world, although I can understand if his work does not appeal to you personally.
