i agree with what you say in some ways. however, these dogs had no chance whatsoever, they had no one to speak up for them. humans, on the other hand, can help themselves. but don't get me wrong, i know there are certain situations where its not the case. i just think that any crime, no matter whose death, should get a serious penalty. the wrongful death of a human or dog is unforgivable in my eyes. if michael vick truly wants to turn a new leaf then he should donate a great portion of his paycheck to many animal charities.
