on Obama Is A Primetime Diva! at 14:14 09/04/2009this would never have happened with George W because he never would have told the public what he planned on doing, he would just do it and let us find out 8 years later what a mess he left behind. if people would take the time to educate themselves, perhaps he wouldn't have to interrupt the programs of competitions of dancing and singing which our culture finds more important than a functional health care system.

on Obama's Approval Numbers Plummet!! at 16:30 08/13/2009With a public option, there will be competition for the private insurance companies and they will have to lower their prices for you who intend to remain with a private insurance company. Translation - they wont be raking in the massive profits off of your basic need of caring for your health. Whether you realize this or not, this will benefit all of you - not just the "poor people" as someone has stated. But I guess you wouldn't know that because you watch Fox News. Expand your minds a bit, you might be surprised to learn what world you are living in. And Perez - those polls are flawed - find something else to report on.

on Obama's Approval Numbers Plummet!! at 16:30 08/13/2009Perez, I think you are practicing irresponsible reporting right now with your claims that he isn't delivering on his promises. Wasn't fixing our flawed health care system one of the promises? And yet here we are again, with the right side harassing and spreading lies, using scare tactics to sway the uninformed (anyone remember Hillary Clinton's attempt?!)- which includes you who watch Fox News. You want unbiased news?! Read the Christian Science Monitor and then talk to me. In fact, maybe you should read that before you go to the Town Hall meetings spreading the lies, verbatim, from Glenn Beck's mouth! Because 20 years from now, history will look back at this all as the comeback of the "No Nothing Party." I come from an upper middle class family and I was laid off from my job and currently have no health insurance. Even when I did, I knew the companies were ripping me off. What Obama is proposing is exactly the definition of capitalism.

on Hollywood Studios Are Doing Some Belt Tightening Too at 11:14 11/15/2008I worked in event production and because of companies cutting back or simply cutting their events completely - I was laid off from my job. So, no - it does not help the economy. But it helps the people in their company cut back spending, and every man for himself, right? Personally, I am thankful I was laid off because it killed a part of my soul everytime I would see thousands of dollars spent on things as ridiculous as crafting supplies for "team building events." I agree that money should be spent on better things. But keep in mind that there are respectable people out there who work in lighting and sound, stage building, producing, etc. who are now out of work. It's really a catch-22. Either you cut back spending to take care of your employees or keep spending to keep the economy going. My company did the latter and I am out of a job.
