umm..... Wow the main thing I want to address in this tirade is that Latina is not South American. I never said Penelope Cruz is claiming to be South American and by putting her name or including her in Latina Magazine, that somehow she is claiming to be SOUTH American. You have a geography problem. On many levels, outside of US census racial categories, outside of that mode of thinking it is not a crazy idea to include a Spanish actress in a Latina magazine. It never was because she is Spanish, Hispanic or Latina. So, if there was a Costa Rican Actress or a Mexican Actress you wouldn't put them in Latina Magazine they are not from South America? What if they are US born but their parents are from a Spanish speaking country? Also what if there was an actress from Suriname, it's in South America, they don't Speak Spanish so are they not allowed to be in Latina. What is Latino/a what does it mean in the US and what does it mean outside of the US?
WOOOOOOOOW Where do I begin. Can we straighten out one thing first? Why do you keep insisting that now to be latino/a you have to have been born in South America....again you have a geography problem. You are missing the rest of the region CENTRAL AMERICA, MEXICO and the CARIBBEAN. Why do you keep limiting this to South America what is that about. So now you discount Panama, Costa Rica etc... ?? What is wrong with you?? Also, to go back to one of your earlier acid trips mainly J-Lo once again if you insist on limiting this thing to SOUTH AMERICA....then how do you figure J-lo fits into that definition....she's not from South America, HER PARENTS ARE NOT FROM SOUTH AMERICA....so how do you figure the mess you were saying earlier. You NEED TO LOOK AT A MAP and YOU NEED TO STUDY THE ORIGIN OF LATIN. More importantly read a MAAAAAAAAAAAAP dumb butt. :) Can you even name me three countries that are in South America, do you know what Latin America as a whole is, what is it composed of? I think you are way off and you need to pick up a MAAAAAAP. Finally, as I said eariler, these terms are made up terms, countries are made up and lines are redrawn. In 50 years we won't be using the same terms because identities are always shifting. But you don't even know the basic roots of ANYTHING to begin with. punto!
Oh you're just plain dumb.
Mexico and Panama are not a part of South America.
Mexico is a part of North America which includes Canada, the United States of America. Again North America is Canada, the USA and México.
Panama is a part of Central America.
Did you graduate from Highschool?
Wow what is this country producing these days?
Education reform ASAP! lol :)
