Adoption is not easy and is very very expensive. It's not like you can go to the baby store and just pick out a kid, sign a form and take it home. Folks wait YEARS to be CHOSEN by birthmothers. The adoption process is so invasive as well. It just isn't simple.
As far as "playing god" goes, I believe God gives us knowledge. Why not go to a doctor who can help you create a family? If you won't see a doctor for infertility because it's playing god, then you shouldn't see any doctors for anything. Cut your leg off sawing down trees? Oh well, God must have meant for that to happen and seeing a doctor would be "playing god." Need antibiotics? Don't do it! Playing god with illness! Man shouldn't cure anything!
