Being that I am from Lake Charles (which was hit by Rita in 2005 but no one hears about) we are about 60 miles from Galveston, which was ground zero from Ike....I could not agree with her more. When you see the 75 air conditioned coach buses lined up from anyone who could not afford to leave, there is no damn reason for anyone to stay during a hurricane. I have lived here all my life and know for damn sure to get the hell outta here when I am told. They tell us to leave for a good damn reason!!!! When they tell us to leave, they know they are telling business owners to leave and they wouldnt do that unless competely necessary. If your dumb ass stays here you should know that your chances of surviving are slim to none...during the hurricane, law enforcement are not allowed to leave their stations because they are not going to put their lives in danger by going out there....you should leave when they tell you to leave dumbass idiots
