If you think standing with thousands of other people causing a public disturbance all to look at the side of a building is making history...why don't you go stand on the 405 and see what the view is like from out there.
Really? Because Florida sent thousands of their own law enforcement as did many other states across the country to help out, not to mention the FBI and Secret Service were everywhere as well. Are you really that stupid to think that one police force handled all that? Not to mention the fact that the citizens of California recieving IOU's in a time when they need their money. Now the state is going deeper into debt to pay for an unnecessary event. You tell the mother who is having a hard time buying diapers and formula and paying rent that Michael Jackson, who didn't live the cleanest life and was an alleged drug addict, is more important than their families.
Really? They still make you? I thought we were all over this feministic bullshit. I'm a woman, and I clearly have the choice to parade myself out there if I want to. While yes, I think the pageants are ridiculous, that is a personal choice for those women to make...and what is the basis of feminism? Choice and equality. If they want to be pieces of meat on display, that's their deal. No one is forcing them to do anything. I think you need to update which bandwagon you're on.
No dumbass, you are. It's ok for her to have those opinions. However, when you are running for any kind of public service you represent EVERYONE, and I do believe gays and lesbians are included in that. She is in the realm of public service and therefore needs to keep her big mouth shut. She could have answered that a million different other ways and still maintained her opinion. Do you think that if it had been a racial question she would have answered in the same blunt manner? HELL NO. There are ways to answer tactfully while keeping true to your morals. One way for example is "While I personally believe that marriage is a religious bond between a man and a woman, I do respect the rights of all people in this country and believe that if they feel their rights are being violated, they take the proper course of action through the channels we have set up in our legal system." Viola! She kept true to her morals (albeit ones I find disgusting) yet RESPECTED the opinions of the people she is supposedly representing.
I am all about thinning the herd...
