I don't think it had anything to do with being white or black necessarily. I think he was trying to literally turn himself into Peter Pan through surgery. Since Peter Pan was white in the cartoon, he made himself more white.
But it doesn't have to do with wanting to be white, just being as close to Peter Pan as he could look.
Amazon bought the original copy more than a year ago. They already put it up online. It isn't a novel, it is more like the other companion pieces she did, quidditch through the ages and fantastic beasts and where to find them.

No they were not put in place to defend the majority. The supreme court's entire job is defend the constitution and decide whether ANY law put in place violates it. This means they can overturn any case they choose to have visit their courts. They are to protect the rights as governed by the constitution and it doesn't matter if that protects the majority or the minority. If it is unconstitutional, it's unconstitutional.
