on Bipolar Wino at 11:59 08/27/2008People in HWD do treat her like shit because of the shoplifting convictions, etc. Hell, a MAJOR celeb's wife (the celeb is now dead but his estate and music is still earning millions for the kids, grandkids, etc) had deals with Saks, Neimans, and Barney's in Beverly Hills. The store detectives followed her through the store, What ever she stole they put on the corporate AMEX card and her hubbies CPA paid it off plus a nice check for about 20% of the total went to certain highly placed people at the stores involved. Sweet deal and it kept Barbara out of jail for many years! (Oops - did the first name give it away?) Honey the advantage of being my age - and it certainly is beyond Ms. Ryder's - is that I can REMEMBER this shit happening! I've been in Saks or Neimans shopping and have seen the house detectives following this well known high profile celeb wife, while she loaded up her cavernous (then) Gucci bag with all kinds of very costly goodies, etc. They even turned off the "buzzer system" at the door, so the tags didn't set off the alarms. Hell, they knew it was all paid for - or soon would be as fast as they could total it and put it on hubbies corporate AMEX! (grin)

on Going Gay Again at 11:43 08/27/2008Mr. Aiken's press shot on line here is so gay it hurts! I've seen drag queens with less perfectly applied ivory foundation and "just a touch" of black mascara to bring the blonde lashes out! If you put some rouge on this boy, he'd look like the lead in La Cage - ZsaZsa! Can't he get a decent PR shot well lit, with his coloring (admittedly difficult to photograph a red head) done right and still look a LITTLE BIT like he's male? As for the baby - he's a financially well off young GM (closeted of course) and renting a womb is NOT that big a deal. I did it 21 years ago when I wanted a child of my own. And my partner (now my spouse) of 22 years and I raised her. So his having a child is NOT that big a deal. Not today anyway! Twenty-one years ago pushing a baby carriage thru Chelsea or the Castro was odd. Today - eh? Not a big deal! BTW: the going rate back in 86 for it was about $10k plus expenses. Now of course it's probably up to $30k plus expenses. Hardly a major hit for Mr. A, methinks!
